(A thank you letter from
Rinpoche for the generous
donations made to Break the Bank)

DEAR FRIENDS IN DHARMA, TASHI DELEK!

Greetings from Drepung Monastery in South India. I hope you all are happy and healthy and looking forward to the holidays ahead.

I am extremely pleased to share with you that the Emaho "Break The Bank" event has been a resounding success. You broke the bank of $8,000 matching funds, surpassing our expectations. Donations came from our Phoenix sangha, Yakima and New Zealand sanghas and friends in Asia.

Your kind donations have helped us with costs associated with getting settled in the new location and with bringing our bronze Buddhas and brocade wall hangings from Nepal.

I have been busy with my book promotion in Japan and receiving some rare Dharma transmission teachings from my Master in India. I am looking forward to coming back for our popular and fun Fall Festival November 21st. In the morning, we open the center for animals to come to get blessings. This is an annual event I look forward to, meeting the animals with whom you share your life. The evening Fall Festival is an opportunity for us to get together and celebrate, seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

On December 6th in the morning Geshe Choephel and I will do the consecration ceremony. During this ceremony we will perform the ritual for fulfilling mantra inside Buddha statues and bringing the sacred power to receive the blessing from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

You are welcome to join this sacred ritual ceremony followed by a community pot luck brunch that morning.

Once again I appreciate your kind support and I send you all many blessings.

Regards and love,

Rinpoche
