For those who have taken beginning Tibetan with Geshe or for those of you who have a rudimentary understanding of the written language, please join Geshe to continue your study. In this class you will continue building a basic vocabulary and start to shift from learning the alphabet, spelling and grammar to developing vocabulary and learning the nuances of meaning. The intent of this class to get the student ready to study Tibetan texts, deepening the student’s understanding and practice.

This class is designed for students who have no previous knowledge of classical Tibetan.
Learning the history of the Tibetan language and being able to recognize and pronounce characters, aids us in realizing the full potential of our Buddhist studies. Included in the curriculum is language history, recognition and pronunciation of the characters of the alphabet, basic grammar. phrase construction and useful vocabulary.
