We are pleased to announce Emaho Foundation's 2017 Retreat with ZaChoeje Rinpoche

Friday Evening May 26, Saturday May 27, and Sunday May 28

ZaChoeje Rinpoche will bestow the Dug-kar empowerment. This will be the first time Rinpoche is offering this auspicious empowerment at Emaho. Dug-kar, in Sanskrit, "Ushnisha Sitapatra" is a powerful practice that enables us to evoke protection against negative forces, natural catastrophes, disease, and obstacles.

Dug-kar is the Victorious White Umbrella deity. Her parasol indicates the ability to protect sentient beings. She is white in color, symbolizing the power necessary to accomplish the enlightened energy of pacification. Dug-kar with her thousand eyes and thousand arms represents the power of active compassion, protecting and assisting all beings. By identifying with Dug-kar, we are able to evoke within us the ability to create beneficial results. The practice of Dug-kar can bring about transformation of unhappy, negative states into happy, positive ones.

The empowerment ceremony is a Tibetan Buddhist tradition handed down from Master to Student, going back to Shakyamuni Buddha himself. Having ZaChoeje Rinpoche, a true lineage master, bestow and explain the nuances of the practice of the Victorious White Umbrella deity, allows us to enter the practice confidently, benefiting ourselves and others and bringing spiritual and material enrichments. During the retreat Rinpoche will teach, explain how to practice, answer questions and give us his wise and compassionate guidance.
