Thursday October 6, 7:00pm Arizona time, In-person and Zoom. Geshe Lobsang is offering an eight week intensive on The Great Treatise on the Stages Of The Path To Enlightenment, one of the jewels of sacred literature. Geshe will begin with a review of Chapter 14, Conventional Existence. We will continue studying chapters 15 through chapter 19 exploring further our understanding of insight meditation. We will learn how to focus our mind to enhance serenity and insight. It is not necessary to have taken previous classes to join us.   Geshe is referencing the English text, Volume Three of Je Tsongkhapa’s work The Great Treatise on the Stages Of The Path To Enlightenment, Of the many works of the Tibetan master Tsongkhapa, none compare in terms of popularity and breadth of influence with The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lam Rim Chen Mo), which has been treasured by practitioners and scholars alike for centuries.  What distinguishes it as one of the principal texts of Mahayana Buddhism is it's scope and clarity. The various stages of the path are presented so clearly and systematically that they can be easily understood and are inspiring to put into practice.  Geshe Lobsang will be offering this series every other Thursday evening. He is asking those new to the class to look over the first 14 chapters, Geshe is asking those who have been attending these classes to please review.
