Retreat 23

We are pleased to announce that ZaChoeje Rinpoche has been requested and has agreed to bestow the 1000-Armed Avalokiteshvara, Chenrezig, empowerment. Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment at our May retreat, beginning Friday evening May 26, concluding Sunday May 28. Our retreat will be held at Emaho center as well as live-streaming on Zoom.

Avalokiteshvara, Chenrezig, is the embodiment of all the infinite Buddhas' compassionate wisdom. With his mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, we generate a mind tirelessly attempting to deliver all beings from suffering.

As we practice 1,000 arm Avalokiteshvara, Chenrezig, we learn to tune our minds to the sensitivity of the suffering of others. Our hearts open and we become moved by love and compassion bringing us the ability to deeply and sincerely act for the benefit of others. Overcoming our selfish attitude we act without concern for name, fame, or personal gain. The knowledge of true love and compassion brings us to the realization that all of us, all sentient brings, are interconnected. This truth brings us a profound respect for all things. True Compassion is the path to freedom from suffering.
