saOn Sunday, June 4 from 9-10am (Arizona time), please join us at the center or via zoom for one of the most auspicious Buddhist holy days, Saka Dawa. Saka Dawa is one of the most important Tibetan Buddhist days, paying homage to historical Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana.

It is said that the positive actions done on this day are multiplied innumerable times. On this essential holy day, we’ll celebrate remembering the life story of historical Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, by offering prayers of praises and performing the traditional bathing ceremony.

Together, in-person or together on Zoom we’ll recite Praises to Buddha, we'll chant Buddha’s mantra and join in silent meditation focusing on our excellent fortune to have come into contact with the precious teaching of Shakyamuni Buddha, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, our kind and generous teacher, ZaChoeje Rinpoche and Emaho's esteemed geshes. And, if you have time, please stay and join us for cheesecake, coffee, tea afterward.
