Celebration of Sakadawa Full Moon ceremony.

ZaChoeje Rinpoche and Geshe will lead the ceremony of celebrating the full moon of Saka Dawa. This is one of the most important Tibetan Buddhist days paying homage to Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. It is said that positive actions done on this day are multiplied numerous times.

We will pray and conduct the traditional Buddha bathing ceremony.  This ceremony is done by pouring fragrant water over the statue of infant Buddha. It symbolizes cleansing of our body, speech and mind to purify the afflictions and negativities.
