Geshe Lobsang Chophel will begin his 8-class winter intensive, sharing and explaining the meaning behind some of the extensive Tibetan symbols that adorn the rich tapestry of visual imagery of Tibetan sacred art.
Geshe will explain the multiple layers of symbolism that will a bring a panoramic understanding and a deeper insight in sacred art. The class will begin with the eight suspicious symbols. Geshe will also share the names and meaning of Tibet’s mystical animals and the ritual of hand gestures. The first class is January 31st. Each week the same class will be given on Thursdays and Saturdays to meet with student’s various scheduling needs. Suggested donation for the 8-class series is $108.
