2022 - Workshops and Events

ལོསྲ༢༠༢༣Losar, the Lunar Tibetan New Year, is a day of festivities, celebrated around the world by Tibetans, friends and Tibetan Buddhist practitioners.  It is one of the biggest holiday events in Tibet.

Refuge

Refuge practice is known as the entrance to the spiritual path In Buddhism.
It invokes the inspiration, admiration and trusting faith in the Three Jewels - the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha.”  ZaChoeje Rinpoche
Entering into the spitural path; The Refuge Practice.

Refuge (Tib. Kyab-Dro) is the entry and gateway into the spiritual path. In this practice, we learn how to acknowledge our fear of suffering and gain confidence in overcoming it by generating faith in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. When we take refuge in these Three Jewels, we navigate our spiritual journey to reach our fullest potential- the primordial Buddha nature.  In this workshop, Rinpoche will precisely teach us how to engage into refuge practice step by step.

 Vajrapani

ZaChoeje Rinpoche is kindly granting the Vajrapani empowerment (Tib. Chag-Dor Je-Nang). Vajrapani- the Lord of Secret; is the powerful infinite courageous enlightened energy of Enlightenment. This wrathful deity practice eliminates obstacles and destroys negative forces. It helps us invoke our own powerful courageous nature and brings more energy to our spiritual life.

The blessings bestowed to us during the empowerment enable us to identify with Vajrapani's powerful spiritual strength.

Through the kindness of our spiritual teacher we become inspired with true instruction on how to explore and utilize this powerful practice. We will come to understand some profound ways to develop compassion and wisdom as well. The ripples from the Vajrapani practice reverberate across the expanse of space benefiting all sentient beings.

The empowerment may be taken with the intent to practice Vajrapani or may be taken as a special blessing.

Four Noble TruthPlease join Geshe Lobsang

In-person or Zoom

Thursday, October 27. 7:00pm Az rime

The four noble truths: 1. The truth of suffering, 2. The truth of the causes of suffering, 3. The truth of the cessation of suffering, and 4. The truth of the path to the cessation of suffering.  The Four Noble Truths was the first teaching historical Shakyamuni Buddha gave upon attaining enlightenment. These four noble truths are considered noble because they liberate us from suffering.

Geshe Lobsang will share with us how gaining familiarity with these four truths will deepen our spiritual understanding allowing us to develop true wisdom from which we can take positive actions benefiting all sentient beings.  As we begin to study and practice these four liberating insights we begin to build the foundation of our spiritual life following in the footsteps of our spitural masters.

year end messageDear friends in Dharma, Tashi Delek!

I hope this message finds you all well and safe. I am doing well in India.

2021 is coming to its end. As we look back over the past two years, these have turned out much differently than we could have imagined. For so many of us, the pandemic forced us to keep our physical distance from family, friends and our spiritual community.  It has been challenging, affecting us in many difficult and often tragic ways.

Every day, Emaho supports our spiritual growth by providing tools and techniques passed to us by our kind and generous spiritual teacher, ZaChoeje Rinpoche. To follow in the footsteps of an authentic lineage master is our greatest fortune.  With learning and practice, we become more spiritually aware, become kinder and more compassionate.  With these qualities, we live more peacefully.  ZaChoeje Rinpoche and the Emaho monks have given us an extremely rare gift.

More now than ever, we need your year-end financial support. Closing the center when the pandemic struck has taken a financial toll.  If you are currently an Emaho Benefactor, we are asking you to consider increasing your monthly donation if you are able.  If you aren’t presently a Benefactor, we encourage you to become a regular donor.  If you would like to donate a one-time contribution, no amount is too small.

Your donations and support are Emaho’s heartbeat,  To read more about our benefactor program click here.
