Mantrathon 22

Please join with our annual one-day Chenrezig, Avalokiteshvara mantrathon.

Our annual Mantrathon is held in January for wishes and prayers for a new year of beneficial resolution to world problems, a year of healing and happiness. We ask you to join us for the day or for as much time as you have.

This year the monks from Tashi Gaden Chopeling monastery in Tibet, the nuns from Za Pangtang nunnery in Tibet and the people in ZaChoeje Rinpoche's Tehor region have already begun collecting mantras.  They ask us to join them in collecting daily mantras until retreat, January 22.  Keep a daily count.  Start retreat with that total number.  At the end of retreat please send your numbers.

Chenrezig's mantra, Om mani Padme Hum, evokes our love and compassion.  The practice of Chenrezig helps open our hearts.  As ZaChoeje Rinpoche tells us in his new book, Deep Resilience: ‘Light, compassion, kindness, love, these are of our basic goodness or well-being. They are the foundation of our being. Being open means there are no obstructions to the expression of this basic goodness, you are not closing it off. True compassion has no separation, it sees we are all equal in our essence. It includes everybody.”

Please join us for our annual one-day Chenrezig, Avalokiteshvara retreat.  This year we will again be gathering virtually.  For over twenty years, Emaho’s mantrathon has been a global yearly community event where we gather together with wishes and prayers for a year of beneficial resolution to world problems, a year of healing, happiness and peace.

Please join the monks in Drepung Loseling, India, friends and students in India, friends and students in New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Greece, Spain, the sangha in Yakima, Washington, friends in New Mexico, Colorado and our Emaho Phoenix Sangha brothers and sisters as together we collect mantra for the well being of all.
