Please join us in welcoming 2020 with our annual one-day Chenresig, Avalokiteshvara, retreat and Mantrathon.
This year we have been deeply affected by the situation in Australia. The devastating bushfires have caused heart-wrenching suffering in their wake of destruction, causing some 700 species to go extinct, taking an untold number of lives, torching homes, and scorching the country.
This year we will collect and dedicate our mantra collection and prayers to all sentient beings who are directly suffering because of these infernos, those beings who have tragically lost their lives, those who are helping on the front lines, those giving support, and the entire sentient family with whom we share this earth.
Om mani padme hum
The Mantrathon is a worldwide community event with practitioners from Tashi Gaden Chopeling monastery in Tibet, nuns in Tibet, the people in ZaChoeje Rinpoche's Tehor region in Tibet, monks in Drepung Loseling, india, Rinpoche's friends and students in New Zealand, friends in Japan, the sangha in Yakima, Washington, friends in New Mexico, and our Emaho Phoenix Sangha joining together to collect mantra dedicating our prayers for the well being of all.
Our annual Mantrathon is held with wishes for a year of beneficial resolution to world problems, a year of healing and happiness.
Chenresig' s mantra Om mani padme hum is the mantra evoking and allowing our love and compassion to expand our hearts.
