Afflictive Mind Arises as Wisdom - March 7 & 8 from 2:00-4:00
The afflictive mind, when recognized in its empty nature, self-liberates.
Anger, jealousy, attachment, pride — these are not enemies. They are misunderstood energy. Affliction and wisdom are not two separate things. They are the same energy — one confused, one recognized. When we fail to recognize their nature, they bind us. But when awareness touches them, when wisdom looks directly into them, something extraordinary happens.
Join Rinpoche as he shares this profound understanding and guides us in the practice of becoming more honest with ourselves. When honesty and awareness meet affliction, wisdom naturally dawns.

25th Anniversary Celebration April 4th
With great joy Emaho invites our dear friends especially those we haven’t seen in a while but still hold us in their hearts to please join us for our anniversary celebration on Saturday April 4 in person and on Zoom.
In the weeks leading up to the event, Geshe Namgyal is creating a Chenrezig sand mandala to commemorate this quarter century milestone and to symbolize our renewed determination to bring more peace and harmony into our world. This scared image reminds us that, like the grains of sand, together we have been part of something beautiful. That Emaho is more than a physical place. It is the expression of joy and wonder that comes with the recognition of the innate virtue in our hearts and minds which we return to again and again to uplift ourselves and others.
From 3:00-4:30 in person and on Zoom, Rinpoche will lead us in celebration of Emaho's 25 years and explain the significance of destruction of the manadala.
Following the ceremony, we will have a southwestern community dinner to celebrate the mission we have nurtured over these years and to rejoice in the friendships, teachings, and shared aspirations that continue to flourish at Emaho. Dinner sign up is now closed.
Remember when?
We are gearing up for Emaho's anniversary event on April 4, 2026. As part of the celebration, we want to display photos of the remarkable 25-year journey that has brought us all together and the special moments that made us "us". You can help us make it extra special by scrolling though your photos and shring your memories!
